Courtney McMillian,
CNM, APRN

Courtney McMillian is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with more than two decades of experience caring for women and families in Boca Raton. A south Florida native, Courtney has spent her career serving the community she calls home, supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and every season of life.

She began her nursing education at Duke University and later earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida, completing her advanced training in midwifery and women’s health.

Throughout her career, Courtney has practiced in hospital settings caring for both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, gaining extensive clinical experience while developing a deep respect for physiologic birth. Although highly trained in the management of complex obstetric care, her passion has always remained rooted in supporting natural, low-intervention birth and honoring the wisdom of the female body.

Courtney is also a mother of three and a homebirth and waterbirth mom herself. Her personal birth experiences deeply shaped her philosophy of care and strengthened her commitment to providing women with informed choices, compassionate support, and a birth environment that feels safe, respectful, and empowering.

Through Camina Wellness & Midwifery, Courtney brings together the clinical expertise of hospital-based practice with the intimacy and autonomy of community midwifery—walking beside women with thoughtful, relationship-based care every step of the way.
